Poultry and General Farm Hand Full Time
L Hust Farms | Slaughters, KY
Locally owned poultry house complex and grain farm is currently seeking a full time employee that is a team player, with the ability to work in fast paced and challenging environment when needed. Someone who is willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Expectations and responsibilities but are not limited to; Daily care of the poultry house flock of chickens and houses as well as other duties assigned by the complex manager. Must have the physical stamina to perform manual labor duties. Ability to monitor, perform maintenance or troubleshoot poultry house equipment, Maintains a clean and organized work area, facilities and grounds, Operating power machinery, lawn mower, other utility equipment and hand tools.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years old or older, Must have a valid driver’s license and personal mobile phone, Basic math skills such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, Ability to follow, speak and write instructions in English, Must be able to lift 40 lbs. or more, Must be able to perform duties in repetitive movements, standing and walking for long periods of time, performing visual inspections of materials and containers, etc. Trainable, ability to multitask, and self-motivated, Reliable and dependable, Basic mechanical skills are desired, Prior experience in poultry house or grain complex is preferred but is not required​
